How to book your tests.

Booking a test, whether it's your theory or practical test, has never been a simpler process now that you can do it online.

However, for your security, it is vital that you read the following warning.

Warning!

When booking a test, always ensure that you book via the DSA official website, linked via the DSA icon on the right.

There are many scam websites that claim to book your test for you, some of which look very similar to the official DSA website. Some even pretend to be the official DSA website!

If you book your test via one of these unofficial websites then your payment card will be debited a lot more money than the test actually costs and there is no guarantee that you will receive a test after you have paid your money!

If you use Google or any other search engine to book your test then you will certainly encounter one of these scam websites before you find the genuine DSA website so beware! Only use the DSA link to the right which is genuine and secure

Booking your test via the official DSA website.

You will need your driver number to hand and also a valid method of card payment. If you are booking your practical test then you will also need your theory test certificate number, which can be found on the confirmation you received when you passed the theory and hazard perception tests.

You will find your driver number on your provisional licence. It is the long number starting with the first few letters of your surname. The card you use for payment does not have to be in your name.

Before booking a practical test, always ensure your Instructor is available to represent you. You have 15 minutes from reserving a test appointment time, to contact me to ensure my diary is free at a particular time, before finalising your booking.

The DSA operate a system designed to ensure that tests cannot be double booked with a particular Instructor, however this system has proved to be unreliable therefore I do not subscribe to it. For this reason the system will ask for my ADI number. My ADI number is 234748, however, because I have chosen not to subscribe to this system, it will not recognise the number. To continue, just leave this section blank.

When taking your Theory and Hazard Perception test, you should attend the DSA office, which is situated next to the Lloyds TSB Bank on Bond Street, close to the centre of Hull. It is advisable that you arrive 15 minutes before the start of your test.
